The first floor of the Main Library has a new look this fall. New circulation and reference desks are located immediately upon entering the library from the lobby. Offices for security personnel and Interlibrary Loan have also been relocated, but can still be found in the central entryway.
The makeover of ‘Tween the Pages, a campus eatery, should be complete by mid-September. It is being renovated with new seating and a redesigned cafe look.
The Map and Government Information Library moved into the subbasement of the Main Library in July. Located in the space formerly occupied by the Richard B. Russell Library for Political Research and Studies, the library combines the collections from the map library and government documents collection, which contains documents from the U.S., Georgia, Britain and the U.N.
The first floor of the Science Library is being renovated to include a new front desk, bay windows and to make the space more of a devoted study area with computers.
